Kings Canyon to Sweetwater Saddle

This trail is a combination of Kings Canyon trail and an unmarked old jeep trail to the Sweetwater saddle. It is 5.23 miles round trip and has an elevation gain of 1011. The trail rating is a moderate. Trailhead

Going CCW is the way I went and I would recommend it. the trail down is rocky so hiking sticks are recommended. Going up you follow Kings Canyon going as far as you can before a dam stops you. Just before the dam look for a large boulder and a tree on your right. Should be a pile of rocks on top of the boulder. This is the trail. It is a much better route than going up the other side. Not as rocky. Of course  you could make it an in and out by using this trail.

Good views from the top. Also is the junction of the Sweetwater Trail.
