Jesse Honeyman State Park

I am currently hosting at Honeyman State Park in Florence, Oregon. We have hosted here before and I have hiked all the trails shown in the picture.

Honeyman is mainly a camping park, that is popular and if you want to stay more than one night it is best to get a reservation. The park also has day use areas that are located around 2 lakes, Clearwox and Woahink. The park also has large sand dunes that rise up before they slope off t the ocean. Sand boarding is a popular activity here.

The trails are not long, but by combining trails together you can create a hike that will be up to 4 miles in length round trip. The green trail shown on the map is 1.5 miles long, 3.0 miles round trip. Adding other trails to this can lengthen your hike.

Most of the trails are hard packed earth, some may contain loose sand in some locations. Most of the trails are through the forest and various types of vegetation can be found, including Huckleberries, Blackberries, Salal, Salmonberries, just to name a few. I would rate all the trails easy to low moderate. The green trail does have some elevation changes, but not difficult.

Happy Trails
