Ironwood Forest Loop
The Ironwood Forest loop is located in the Saguaro West NP. The trail head and parking is located on a curve of the Picture Rocks road. Be careful crossing the road! It is a combo of trails Cam-Boh, Ironwood, Coyote Pass, Picture Rocks wash and Ringtail. It is 3.34 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 223 ft. Trail rating is easy.
Trail surface is mainly sandy with some hard packed desert and wash walking. About 1.5 miles into the hike (going CCW) start looking for the indian Petroglyphs.
