Coyote Pass to Windmill
Coyote Pass to the windmill is a 5.03 mile hike out and back. It has an elevation gain of 371 ft. Rated as a moderate hike. Trail head located off of Picture rocks road. Parking is limited and is on a curve so BE CAREFUL crossing the road.
Trail surface is variable from rocky to sand to hard packed desert. Once at the windmill, take a look under the windmill and you will see a tank with water. The windmill still turns with the wind. Not sure if it is pumping. Good spot for a rest and a snack.
