L.L.Stub Stewart Sp is located in Buxton Oregon. It has camping and over 20 miles of hiking trails and a large mountain bike area.
My wife and I are hosting at this park for the month of May, at the Discovery Depot center. As we have hosted here before I have had the opportunity to hike this park and it is one of my favorites. ( This is a fee park. 5$ day use fee required)
For this post I am reviewing several trail or loops that are from 1.74 miles long to 3.01 miles long. Loops 1-4 all start at the SE corner of the Welcome Center parking area at the Brooke Creek trail. Loop 4A starts at the Hill Top Picnic area parking lot in the south corner.
All the trails are hard packed earth and during periods of rain may become a little sloppy. All are through the forest and are peaceful hikes.
2.4 miles long and starts in SE corner of Welcome Center parking area. Head south to BV and back to parking area.
1.74 miles long and starts in the SE corner of the Welcome Center parking area. This loop heads north and loops back to Welcome Center.
2.10 miles long and also starts at the SE corner of the Welcome Center parking area. This trail heads north and loops back to Welcome Center.
3.10 miles in length and starts at the Welcome Center parking area too. This trail heads further north and loops back on the BV trail and then over to the west campground to the connector trail back to the Welcome center
4a is similar to 4 but starts in the south end of the Hill Top Parking area at the Sidewinder Horseshoe trail. It loops around to the west and meets up with the BV trail for the return trip to the west campground and back to the parking area.
If you are looking for a quick hike, these are some good loops to do, as they do not take more than 2-3 hours or less to do. So come on out and enjoy.
